When AAA finally showed the guy informed me that the nearest town with a VW mechanic was in Redway. Unfortunately the guy was out of town for FOUR days! Geez, the ebb and flow of luck was making me seasick. We learned that the nearest place with a Greyhound bus stop was Garberville. Now, from my experience any place that ends in "ville" is to be avoided. Suffice it to say for the moment, this theory held up. I snapped this picture on our way south.
